1. Charging & Powering On
• Charge the gimbal using the USB-C port until the indicator shows full battery.
• Press and hold the power button to turn it on.
2. Mounting Your Phone
• Unfold the gimbal.
• Open the phone clamp and center your phone in landscape orientation.
• Adjust the balance manually before turning it on to avoid motor strain.
3. Connecting to the Zhiyun App (Optional but recommended)
• Download ZY Cami or Zhiyun Play app (available on iOS & Android).
• Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
• Open the app and follow the prompts to connect the gimbal.
4. Basic Controls
• Joystick: Controls pan and tilt movement.
• Mode Button (M): Switches gimbal modes:
• PF (Pan Follow): Follows left/right movements smoothly.
• L (Lock): Locks all axes for steady shots.
• F (Follow): Follows pan and tilt movements.
• POV (Point of View): Moves in all directions for more dynamic shots.
• Trigger Button:
• Hold to enter Follow Mode.
• Double press to recenter.
• Zoom Slider: Adjusts zoom smoothly in the app.
• Shutter Button: Captures photos/videos when connected via the app.
5. Using the Extendable Arm & Fill Light
• The Smooth Q4 has a built-in extendable rod for higher or lower angles.
