The country will soon have 5G services available, according to the central government. The availability of 5G services will be guaranteed for users at reasonable prices. A number of cities are now installing 5G. The telecom providers are busy setting up the required infrastructure to deliver the best services without interruption, according to Ashwini Vaishnav, Union IT Minister.
The minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to making cheap 5G plans available to the general people. Along with the publication of the 5G Right of Work (RoW) application form on the Gatishakti Sanchar portal, the government has announced "The Indian Telegraph Right of Way (Amendment) Rules, 2022." The Indian Telegraph Right of Way (Amendment) Rules will make it easier to build aerial fiber, tiny cells, and digital infrastructure more quickly.
The rollout of 5G services will happen in stages. 13 cities will receive 5G services in the initial phase. The initial cities with 5G service will include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune. Similar to 3G and 4G, 5G rate plans may soon be announced by telecom firms. Industry analysts believe that consumers might be prepared to pay extra for 5G services.
Reliance In terms of 4G tariffs, Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea are now competing. Because of this, the telecom companies are debating how much they may charge for 5G services. Additionally, telecom providers, including Jio, have begun to consider offering cheap smartphones.
