Whatsapp may add profile images to group message chats to make identification easier

A recent report claims that WhatsApp is developing a modification that will make it simpler for users to identify the sender of a message in a group chat.

When new messages are received in a group conversation on the Meta-owned instant messaging platform, profile photographs are reportedly being added to the messages.

According to WABetaInfo, a website devoted to the app and service, WhatsApp is still developing the feature internally but may eventually make it accessible to beta testers.

WhatsApp plans to introduce something that has been requested for a long time: profile photos of group participants! When this feature will be released to beta testers, profile photos of other group participants will show up next to all incoming messages within the group chat, in a future update of the app.

When a new message is received in a group chat on WhatsApp, only the sender's name is currently displayed. This implies that when there are a lot of messages sent and received, the discussions can be challenging to follow. People would be able to recognize the sender of those messages more readily with the help of a new, more visible aspect.

Before making the functionality available to those of us using the version of WhatsApp that is now in the App Store, WhatsApp will need to make it available for testing, which might take some time.
