Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said the suspects – one male and five females aged between 37 and 46 years old, were detained on Monday (Oct 24) at 11.50pm.
He said that during the raid, police found the man and four women – each of them was in a different room while another woman was manning the counter.
“Initial investigation found the massage centre did not have licence to run the business,’’ Supt Tok said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 25).
He said police also seized massage-related paraphernalia and cash in different denominations.
Supt Tok said all suspects have been remanded starting from Tuesday (Oct 25) to Wednesday (Oct 28).
The case is being investigated under Section 107 of the Local Government Act 1976, Section 39(B) of the Immigration Regulation 1959/63 and Section 6(1)(C) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
